PICTOREX is the new owner of ARTISAN

Welcome to Day 1! I'm very pleased and proud to announce that ARTISAN is now owned by PICTOREX Ltd. The transfer documents were finally signed last Friday with Lightwork Design and, at last, we're up and running. So, what's the difference, I hear you ask? Well in the short term the focus is very much on making the transfer of ownership as seamless as possible but steadily increasing the support we give to resellers and users.

In the medium to long term our aim is to build an ARTISAN community of users, resellers and developers and we are now looking at a number of initiatives starting with the next set of enhancements through to different packaging deals and promotions all aimed at lifting the profile of ARTISAN.

We've a lot to do in these first few days beginning with some cosmetic edits to the web-site and the packaging of ARTISAN. I wish it was as a simple as a global edit of 'Lightworks ARTISAN' to 'ARTISAN by Pictorex' but, of course, it's never that easy, and I'm sure we'll miss a few in the first pass. It's not too much of a problem of course as even though ARTISAN is now owned by PICTOREX we are still proud to be using the Lightworks Author SDK as the render engine inside ARTISAN and we're still be promoting that in our marketing efforts.
