Our global Artisan reseller network

Lightworks is, and has for a long time, been the de facto standard rendering toolkit available; a large number of the world’s leading CAD systems use Lightworks as their integrated rendering engine.

Artisan, differs in that it’s an end-user ‘off the shelf’ product and, while it actually uses Lightworks as the rendering engine (why would we look for another!) we are of course now selling to designers using CAD systems rather than software developers creating CAD systems.

To make this possible, we decided early on in the design of Artisan that we needed to build a network of resellers around the world who were actively working in the CAD industry in their region and had a good understanding of their customer’s needs in their particular industries. The relationships with our resellers are working well and we now have resellers in 30 countries in Europe, the Americas (North and South) Asia and Russia. They are geographically remote but surprisingly knowledgeable of each other and actually get to meet on the occasions when the CAD vendor hosts a convention, where they can learn and exchange information gained in their sales activities. We’ve begun to create dedicated Artisan Social Media groups where members of the Network can interact, communicating with each other and ultimately having an influence on the future shape of the product.

Artisan operates in a number of languages now and we will be adding more over the course of the next year. A good working relationship with Sheffield-based translation agency, Talking Heads, means that we can support Artisan users around the world. This support, coupled with the Resource Pack for Artisan containing images, text, demonstrations as well as product logos, means that our Resellers have all the resources they need to successfully communicate to their customers all the benefits that Artisan can offer.
